Where To Shop
Ripon has such a variety of shops ranging from small boutique shops to high street chain stores. Many of the shops have been established and part of the City for many decades.

Ripon has aimed to provide the shoppers with everything that they need in one place and you will be surprised at how much is available from the shops in Ripon. Ripon's shops cater for all ages from the young trendy fashion shops to the more traditional shops.
Whatever the purpose or length of your stay in Ripon, food and drink are bound to be on the menu.
Perhaps one of the best features of a traditional market town is the abundance of independent shops selling locally produced food. Quality butchers and bakers are still very much a part of Ripon today. Appleton’s is the well known pork butcher on the Market Square. Be sure to try the award-winning, Yorkshire curd tarts from Thomas the Bakers, or Davill’s Bakery on Westgate for home-baked bread and cakes. For a great sandwich there is always Don’s Deli on Duck Hill, a deceptively spacious shop, stocking a comprehensive selection of cheeses, cold meats and pate.
Fresh Fields farm shop is well worth a trip along North Road (beyond the clock tower). They stock a range of soups from the Ripon-based, Yorkshire Soup Company, as well as lo¬cal meat, fruit and vegetables.
